Managing and Monitoring Mutual Obligation Requirements and Job Plan
View this document as…
Job seekers generally have Mutual Obligation Requirements, such as looking for work and participating in Activities that will improve their employment prospects, in return for receiving taxpayer-funded income support paid by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
The main aim of Mutual Obligation Requirements is to help a job seeker into paid work and reduce reliance on income support as quickly as possible. A secondary intent is for job seekers to contribute to the community that supports them while they are unemployed.
